WORLD RECORD

Cristiano Ronaldo: now all-time top scorer after 30 years!

Cristiano Ronaldo has taken over another world record: for number of top level goals scored after turning 30 years. He achieved this feat in the Saudi League match for Al Nassr vs Al Orubah (3-0) on 5 October.
It was just that game in which CR7 celebrated also the milestone of 600 games with scoring goals.
That day, the Portuguese reached the mark of 442 leaving ex-holder of this record Romário behind with 441. Now he is already at 444.
Here we update the historical ranking for “over-30” goal-scorers. All top-level goals scored after the 30th anniversary are taken into account.
Currently, 9 players have scored 250 or more such goals. One of them, Alf Quill, is not classified as he scored most of his goals in regional competitions of modest quality (though formally they were top-level due to absense of national league).
