Double pokers in European national teams
Norway's 11-1 victory over Moldova on 9 September became the first ever match in the history of European World Cup Qualifying with a “double pokers” (5 goals from Erling Haaland and 4 from Thelo Aasgaard).
In the rest of the world, this has last happened on 29 August 2007, when Vanuatu defeated American Samoa 15-0 (4 from Etienne Mermer and 5 from Seule Soromon).
In the entire history of European national teams (considering any their games), such a feat is registered for the 6th time. The previous happened in the famous Spain’s 12-1 victory over Malta in Euro qualification in 1983 (pokers from Santillana and Hipólito Rincón).
Details are in the table.
