REAL MADRID'S RUN STOPPED ?
Will PSG stop a great Real Madrid’s run?
At 2025 Club World Cup, Real Madrid continue their superb run, unprecedented in the world football history.
Since the beginning of XXI century, they have won all their 23 straight-leg knock-out matches against foreign clubs in any official competitions.
At this CWC, the series extended due to Madrid’s wins in the round of 16 (vs Juventus) and quarter-finals (vs Borussia Dortmund).
The last time Los Blancos lost in this kind of ties to Boca Juniors (1-2) in the InterContinental Cup on 28 November 2000.
The only team to have beaten Real Madrid in a straight-leg knock-out stage of an international competition in the XXI century was their local rival Atlético Madrid (in the 2018 European Super Cup (4-2 after extra time).
And now, in the CWC semi-finals, Real Madrid are to face the opposition that looks most dangerous, PSG. Will their streak hold up again or be finally broken?
