Palmeiras vs Al Ahly Cairo 2-0 (Group A)


*José López (Argentina) scored in each of the 5 competitions he played with Palmeiras in 2025: Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil, Campeonato Paulista, Copa Libertadores and now also Club World Cup.

Inter Miami vs Porto 2-1 (Group A)

*Inter Miami is the first ever CONCACAF club to defeat a European opponent in an official FIFA tournament.
Of 13 previous matches of this rivalry, 10 won European teams and 3 were drawn.

*Porto became the first UEFA club to lose to any non-European team at the Club World Cup since Chelsea against Corinthians on 16 December 2012.
