REAL MADRID'S RECORD
Real Madrid’s record run of UCL last 16 round participation
Real Madrid are the only club to have qualified for the Champions League round of 16 every season since its inception in 2003-04.
Overall, „Los Blancos” reached the last 16 of the Champions League (including previous competition systems) for the 28th time in a row. This is much longer than other teams' similar runs (Bayern, who reached this stage for the 17th season in a row, is tied for second place).
Moreover, Real Madrid reached last 16 at all of their last 47 participations in the European Cup/Champions League. They last failed to do it in 1963 (being eliminated by Anderlecht in the round of 32).
