Atlético Madrid have just ended the longest winning streak in their history. It consisted of 15 matches won in a row in all competitions, and was broken in the La Liga match vs Leganes (0-1) on 18 January.
This is the joint-third longest streak of its kind in the history of Spanish football (see table). The national record belongs to Real Madrid: 22 wins in a row in 2014.
Atlético's previous club record was 13 wins, also dating back to the Diego Simeone era (2012-13).
