HAALAND THE YOUNGEST

New Haaland’s age records in European club football

Erling Haaland became the youngest ever player (24 years 128 days) to score 50 goals in the major European club competitions. “The Cyborg” reached this mark on 26 November in the Champions League match for Manchester City against Feyenoord (3-3).
He surpassed the previous record of Lionel Messi who did it in 2012 at the age of 24 years 257 days.
Kylian Mbappé reached 50 goals shortly earlier this year, in September, at 25 years 272 days; he takes the third position in the all-time ranking (see the table).
Haaland is also the player who has needed the fewest games (51) to score 50 goals in the major European club competitions.
Besides, the Norwegian has added another record to his collection reaching 50 goal involvements in the Champions League faster than anyone.
The first of his two goals in the above mentioned dramatic draw with Feyenoord was his landmark 50th goal involvement in the competition (45 goals + 5 assists). He reached it in just 44 games, one match quicker than former record holder Ruud van Nistelrooy.
