IFFHS MEN'S WORLD BEST INTERNATIONAL GOAL SCORER 2024
IFFHS Men's World Best International Goal Scorer 2024 at 30 November: Soufiane Rahimi
The contest for international goal-scorers 2024 endures a dramatic ending. Two leading countrymen, the Moroccans Ayoub El Kaabi and Soufiane Rahimi, approached December with identical tallies: 15 goals for club and 4 for country, so 19 goals in total.
To determine the winner in this situation, an additional criteria is a smaller number of international matches (in total for club and national team). Rahimi has fewer of them, 24, while Al-Kaabi 27.
Both have one international match to be played in December (at club level). If the tie remains, Rahimi will be declared the winner.
However, the pursuers keep some chance, too. Erling Haaland and Viktor Gyökeres are 2 goals behind the leaders and also have one match each in the December program (in the Champions League). In addition, if any of them eventually ties in total goals, he will have an advantage due to the greater number of goals for the national team.

All goals for national team (NT) in the “full international” games and for clubs at the main stages of major international club competitions (ICC), that is without qualifiers, are taken into account for the ranking.
Period: from 1 January to 30 November 2024.
Tie-breaker: 1) more NT goals, 2) fewer games (for determining the first place).
