Statistics on Nations League games of 14-16 November

*Germany (7-0 vs Bosnia and Herzegovina) set the new record for the largest victory in the Nations League history (in any division). 
The previous record 6-0 was repeated four times: by Switzerland (against Iceland), Spain (against Croatia and Germany) and Turkey (against Lithuania).

*Bosnia and Herzegovina have conceded so many goals (7) in a match (including friendlies) for the first time in their history, surpassing 6 goals conceded from Portugal (2-6) in a Euro qualifier on 16 November 2011.

*Wout Weghorst and Cody Gakpo became the first players of the Netherlands to convert a penalty within the same match (4-0 vs Hungary), excluding shootouts, since Jan Klijnjan and Dick Schneider against Peru on 3 May 1972. 

*Denzel Dumfries is the 2nd player in history of “Oranje” to score each of his first 9 international goals for in the second half, after Pierre van Hooijdonk (also 9).

*Spain (2-1 vs Denmark) have not lost any of their last 15 matches played (13 wins, 2 draws), all under Luis de la Fuente: their best unbeaten run under a single coach since June 2018 (20 under Julen Lopetegui).

*Aymeric Laporte, born in France, equalled Spain’s record of most victories with the national team (27) for the players born outside of Spain, sharing it with Thiago Alcántara (born in Italy), ahead of Marcos Senna (24, Brazil), Alfredo Di Stéfano (20, Argentina), Rodrigo Moreno (16, Brazil) and Robin Le Normand (16, France).

*Austria won already 8 international matches in 2024 (including the last one vs Kazakhstan 2-0). They only achieved so many victories within a calendar year in 1982.
