COLE PALMER IN HISTORY

Cole Palmer: unique first half poker in EPL!

The Chelsea striker Cole Palmer became yesterday the first ever player in the English Premier League history (since 1992) to score 4 goals in the first halftime of a single match (4-2 vs Brighton).
Palmer could have scored even more: his potential 5th goal was cancelled due to offside, and he also struck in the woodwork inside this crazy 45 minute spell.

*Already at the age of 22 years, at the start of his 2nd season in Chelsea and after just 39 league appearances for the club, Palmer became the Chelsea’s joint record holder for number of EPL hat-tricks (3, alongside Didier Drogba,Frank Lampard and Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink) as well as for number of EPL pokers (2, alongside Frank Lampard).

*Palmer is also just the 2nd player in EPL history to score 2 pokers within the same calendar year, after Ole Gunnar Solskjær (1999).
But no one so far achieved such feat within the same season.

*Palmer is 9th player to score multiple pokers in EPL (see the table), with Sergio Agüero as the only one to make it 3 times.
