All-time best top division goal-scorers: Faroe Islands (part 44)

The Faroe Islands’ football league was established in 1942. Klæmint Olsen (PICTURE) is its record holder with 238 goals, all scored for the same club NSÍ Runavík.
He is the only player to reach the 200-goal landmark so far; 150 goals were reached by 4 players, 100 goals by 19 players in total (they all are native).
Five players from “Club 100+” are active including Klæmint Olsen who had recently to leave the top division of Faroe Islands for one season (2023) moving to Iceland league. 
The reason was NSÍ Runavík’s sensational relegation. Olsen didn’t want to play in any other team of his homeland while NSÍ were out of elite and also couldn’t afford to stay with them in D2 since the national team coach refused to call him up from D2; so he opted to go in Iceland until NSÍ’s return to the top flight. This happened soon, so the record holder was immediately back home and is now increasing his tally.
