DARWIN NUNEZ IN THE TOP 7
Darwin Núñez among all-time best South American serial scorers
Darwin Núñez failed to score against the United States in the last match of the group stage of the Copa America on 2 July, thereby breaking his goal streak for the Uruguay national team at 7 matches.
He is only the 7th player in South American football history to maintain a winning streak for that long.
The continent's record remained unshakable - 10 games in a row with scoring by the legendary Brazilian forward Leônidas in 1932-1940.
