Copa Libertadores: statistics on group stage match-day 6 (29-31 May) 

*Junior Barranquilla (0-0 vs Botafogo/RJ) became the first team in the history of the Copa Libertadores to draw all 3 games played at home and manage to overcome the group stage.

*Junior is also the first team to advance to the round of 16 of the competition as first in the group with only two victories since 2019 (Olimpia).

*Peñarol (2-1 vs Rosario Central) are back to play in the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores after 13 years of absence there (last time: 2011). 

*It is the first time since 2002 that both Uruguayan super-clubs, Nacional and Peñarol, have made it past the group stage in the competition.

*Peñarol achieved their longest unbeaten streak (16 games) at home in Copa Libertadores history, winning 14 of them and tying 2.
They have not lost at home since 2017 (2-3 against Palmeiras).

*Wuilker Fariñez (Caracas) was sent off in the game vs Atlético Mineiro (0-4) just 10 minutes into the game. 
It is the earliest red card for a goalkeeper in the Copa Libertadores since 2 May 2002 when Claudio Mele was sent off in an Olimpia vs Cobreloa match after 7 minutes.

*Colo Colo (1-1 vs Cerro Porteño) became the first ever team to qualify with only 6 points earned in the group for the Copa Libertadores round of 16 since the current system was established (3 points for a win, only first 2 team from a group pass to next round). 
Before, the fewest points sufficient for this was 7, repeated by Deportes Concepción (2001), Once Caldas (2011), São Paulo (2013), River Plate (2015), Libertad (2020), Delfín (2020).

*Flamengo (3-0 vs Millonarios) and São Paulo (2-0 vs Talleres Córdoba) have reached 100 wins in Copa Libertadores; they became 3rd and 4th Brazilian teams to do so, after Palmeiras and Grêmio.

*Huachipato (4-3 away vs Estudiantes) became the second Chilean team to win as a visitor in Argentina and Brazil (Grêmio ) in the same edition of Copa Libertadores, after Universidad Católica (who beat Vélez Sarsfield and again Grêmio in 2011).

*Estudiantes for the first time have conceded 4+ goals in a home game in Copa Libertadores. 
Also they lost for the first time a home game of the tournament after opening the score (49 wins and 3 draws in 52 previous such cases).

*Renato Gaúcho, Grêmio’s coach, has held his 87th game in Copa Libertadores in this duty (4-0 vs The Strongest) to become the most experienced Brazilian coach in the history of competition.
He surpassed Luiz Felipe Scolari (86).
