NEW RECORD FOR PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG

Aubameyang: most prolific African one-season scorer in European competitions

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has set a new record for African footballers playing in Europe.
The goal for Marseille against Benfica in the Europa League match on 11 April (1-2) was the 12th for the Gabon striker within this season in major European club tournaments (2 in Champions League qualifying and 10 in the Europa League).
No African has ever scored so many goals in one season.
Previously, 5 players, including Aubameyang himself, managed to score 11.
