IFFHS AWARDS 2023 – TEMWA CHAWINGA FABULOUS

 

Temwa Chawinga, Malawi’s player, is the great winner of the IFFHS WOMEN’S WORLD GOAL SCORER Award 2023. 

Temwa Chawinga has scored 51 goals for Wuhan Jiangda in all competitions this season. She won the golden boot award in the Chinese Super League with 30 goals, in the Chinese National Cup with 15 goals and also achieved the same feat in the Chinese FA Cup with six goals. She added also 12 goals for her national team where she won also the COSAFA Golden Boot ! She ended the year 2023 with 63 goals ! 

 

With Temwa Chawinga, Racheal Kundananji and Barbra Banda, the CAF has 3 players in the Top 10, so much than CONCACAF and UEFA . Mexican MX league has 4 players in the Top 10, Veronica Corral and Kiana Palacios taking the second and third places in the World ranking 2023. Salma Paralluelo, IFFHS Women’s Youth World Best Player 2023, took rank 12 with 29 goals and Aitana Bonmati, the new Queen of the World Football, IFFHS Women’s World Best Player and Playmaker, is ranked 23 with 25 goals.

Samantha Kerr (ranked 4 in 2023, 2 in 2022 and 5 in 2021) is the most regular Goalscorer in the decade with Alicia Cervantes (ranked 6 in 2023, 8 in 2022 and 9 in 2021) and Tessa Wullaert ( 9 in 2023, 3 in 2022 and 6 in 2021).
