A NEW RECORD FOR HARRY KANE ?
Will Kane score 3rd hat-trick in a row?
Today Bayern host Heidenheim in the 11th round of the Bundesliga. Harry Kane could be attempting to score another hat-trick. If he succeeds in that, he will become the first player in league history with three hat-tricks in a row.
So far, Kane is one of 10 players who have scored 3+ goals in two his consecutive matches.
Klaus Matischak (Schalke) was the first to do this, in the very first Bundesliga season. Also, he is the only one in the list who scored not in 2 consecutive matches of his team, but after missing one round.
Toni Polster was the first foreigner to do this feat, and after him almost only foreigners did this (with the exception of a Spanish-German Mario Gómez).
Worm, Makaay and Kramarić scored their consecutive hat-tricks in 2 away matches, Grabowski in the last 2 matches of the season, Kramarić in two different seasons (that is, in the last round of one and the first of the next).
Curiously, both league's greatest scorers, Gerd Müller and Robert Lewandowski, never made 2 consecutive hat-tricks. Moreover, not even any of the 10 most prolific forwards did it.
