-       Olga Carmona’s first half goal (PICTURE) fired Spain to their first ever major tournament win in HISTORY.

-       For the first time since the first World Cup in 1991, a new national team won the title. USA (4 titles), Germany (2), Japan and Norway (1 each) were the winners of the 8 World Cups before 2023.

-       Spain scored 18 goals at this World Cup, the best total of all 32 teams with 9 different goalscorers.
