*In the friendly game for Argentina vs Australia (2-0) in Beijing, Lionel Messi has scored just 1 minute 19 seconds after kick-off. This goal turned out the fastest in his career.
A bit strangely, having 807 top-level goals, he never scored within the first 2 minutes before. His previous personal record was 2 minutes 7 seconds (what he took to find the net for Barcelona vs Chelsea in the Champions League game on 14 March 2018).
Now he has scored in every minute of regular time, except the 1st. His most scoring minute is 87th (16 goals).
*It was Messi’s 7th scoring game in a row for Argentina: his longest streak in national team which has started from another game vs Australia, on 3 December 2022 in the World Cup’s round of 16.
Prior to that, Messi scored for Argentina in 6 consecutive games twice, from 15 November 2011 to 7 September 2012 and from 5 June 2022 to 26 November 2022.
