Messi: new all-time best scorer in big 5 European leagues
The goal scored by Lionel Messi in the French league game vs Strasbourg (1-1) on 27 May made him the new all-time best goal-scorer in the big 5 European leagues.
It was Messi’s 496th goal in 577 games played in the big 5 leagues. His tally is made up of 474 goals scored in Spain and 22 in France.
He has surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo with 495 goals netted in 626 games in the English, Spanish and Italian leagues combined.
