Oscar Cardozo: new oldest “pokerist” in XXI Century

Paraguayan striker Oscar Cardozo has updated the XXI Century record for the oldest player to score a poker in a top-level match.
On March 3, he scored 4 goals in his home league match for Libertad against Cerro Porteño (5-0) at the age of 39 years 318 days.
Cardozo surpassed by 19 days the Bolivian Pablo Escobar, who held the record since 2018.
In the overall ranking of the oldest “pokerists” in the history of football, Cardozo is the 2nd, only behind to the legendary Josef Bican.
The pokers made at the age 38+ are listed in the table. Ferenc Puskás managed to do it twice in the twilight of his Real Madrid career.
In 2018, his feat was repeated by the already mentioned Pablo Escobar (two pokers within just 11 days). Also off-ranking Túlio Maravilha made 2 pokers, within 36 days, in the Brazilian state Goiás league (not recognized as a top-level competition).
