Champions League visitors, Confederation Cup hosts hit hard in day 2. 

Raja CA and Mamelodi Sundowns each hammered 3 goals against their hosts, Simba and Cotonsport respectively on day 2 of the CAF TotalEnergies Champions League this weekend. Raja registered a 3-0 victory at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium including a penalty few minutes to full time to top group C with 6 points. Visiting Petro of Luanda beat Vita Club 2-1, and visitors Horoya played to a 0-0 draw with 10-man Vipers to occupy the second and third spots with 4 points and 1 point, respectively. Mamelodi Sundowns spanked Cotonsport away 3-1 to stay on top of group B with 6 points. Al-Hilal edged visiting Al Ahly 1-0 to occupy the second spot with 3 points. The two losers occupy the last two spots of  group C. ES Tunis scored their second straight victory after travelling to edge CR Belouizdad 1- 0 and stay on top of group D. CR are second as Al-Merrikh and Zamalek occupy the two last spots with a point each. Hosts JS Kabylie scored 3 minutes to the end of regular time to edge Wydad AC 1-0 and stay on second spot with 4 points a-piece with leaders Petro. Vita Club and Wydad who have no point as yet occupy the third and fourth spots in group A.

FAR Rabat registered the heaviest win in the CAF TotalEnergies Confederation Cup trouncing ASKO 5-1 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium. They stay on top of group C with 4 points. Future and Pyramids played to a 1-1 draw to occupy the third and fourth spots with 2 points each. Rivers United  overpowered visiting ASEC 3-0 to occupy the second spot of group D with 3 points. Diables Noirs forced hosts Motema Pembe 0-0  to stay on top of group B with 4 points and 2 points on the third spot, respectively. Gallants travelled to defeat St. Eloi Lupopo 2-1 while hosts Al Akhdar and USM Alger played to a 1-1 draw. That puts group A as Gallants 6 points, USM 4 points, Al Akhdar 1 point and Saint Eloi Lupopo 0 point. In group D, it was Réal Bamako 1 1 Monastir and Young Africans 3 1 TP Mazembe. Monastir are on top with 44 points, TP Mazembe 3 points, Young Africans 3 points and Réal Bamako 1 point.

Match day 3 of the CAF TotalEnergies Champions League will be played on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25. Match day 3 of 6 in the CAF TotalEnergies Confederation Cup holds on Sunday, February 26.
