RECORD FOR INAKI WILLIAMS
Iñaki Williams breaks his historical streak
The 28-year-old Athletic Bilbao attacker Iñaki Williams has missed the La Liga match vs Celta Vigo on 29 January due to injury.
It was for the first time since 17 April 2016 when the Ghana national team forward didn’t appear in the Spanish championship game. Williams had a streak of 251 consecutive league games without a break what was a La Liga record.
Williams has led the historical ranking of longest such series in La Liga since 1 October 2021 when he surpassed the former record of 202 matches set by Real Sociedad player Juan Antonio Larrañaga (between 1987 and 1992).
