NEW IFFHS STATISTICS - THE MOST CLEAN-SHEETS IN NATIONAL TEAM

All-time ranking for goalkeepers with most clean-sheets in national team
We publish for the first time the all-time global ranking for goalkeepers to play most games for national teams without conceding a goal.
Iker Casillas leads this ranking with great margin from others: 103 clean-sheets. The Spaniard is the only one in the world who surpassed the mark of 100. It is amazing achievement; it will take a lot of time for a second such goalkeeper to appear.
Among active goalies, Gianluigi Buffon has most clean-sheets (77) but he is unlikely able to increase his tally. Next ones are well distanced from the record holder: Hugo Lloris (62) and David Ospina (61).
At the moment, 25 goalkeepers amassed 50+ national team clean-sheets for the whole history of football.
