History
The African Cup of Nations has existed since 1957 and is the most prestigious competition in Africa. This tournament, which is organized by the African Football Confederation (CAF), takes place every two years. In addition, since 2013 it takes place in odd years so that there is no collision with the World Cup.
Historically, Egypt is the best nation on the continent with an impressive record of 7 victories. However, this competition is very tough and therefore, each edition really tight. The defending champion is Algeria.
