*Karim Benzema who made a brace vs Shakhtar (2-1) is the oldest Real Madrid player (33 years 319 days) to score 2+ goals in a European Cup/Champions League game since Ferenc Puskás (4 goals vs Feyenoord in September 1965 at the age of 38 years 173 days).

*Karim Benzema has scored Real Madrid's 1,000th goal in the Champions Cup/Champions League (including qualifiers). Real Madrid is the first club to reach this mark.

*The most goals of those 1000 were scored by Cristiano Ronaldo (105), Raúl (66), Benzema (62), Di Stéfano (49), Puskás (35), Gento (31), Amancio (21), Santillana (21).

*Shakhtar Donetsk's last 6 goals in the Champions League have all been scored against the same opponent: Real Madrid.

*After a win vs Atletico Mardir (2-0), Liverpool equalled the club record of 25 successive matches (18 wins, 7 draws) unbeaten in all competitions, set from March to September 1982 (20 wins, 5 draws).

*Sebastien Haller is one of 3 players of the current edition of Champions League to score in each of 4 starting rounds (7 goals total). Other two are Robert Lewandowski (8 goals) and Cristiano Ronaldo (5).
