Continuing the topic of Jose Mourinho’s 1000th match (see IFFHS publication on Sep 13), we publish the ranking of coaches who have held 1000 or more official matches with their teams. Alex Ferguson is topping the ranking, the only coach with a track record exceeding 2,000 games.
The matches for both clubs and national teams are counted. The ranking only includes the coaches, most of whose matches belong to the top level.
