*The day 28 June 2021 became joint 2nd in Euro history on goals scored (14 in just 2 games). The same amount, but in 4 games, occurred on 21 June 2000.
The record (18 goals in 4 games) was established just few days ago (on 23 June 2021).
*Never before in the history of Euro, a team that entered the final 10 minutes with 2 goals behind was able to come back to the end of regular time. On 28 June, this happened twice (Croatia vs Spain, Switzerland vs France).
*The score 5-3 (Spain vs Croatia) was registered for the first time in Euro history.
*It is 2nd highest-scoring match in the European Championship history, after France vs Yugoslavia (4-5) in the 1960 semi-finals.
*Spain became the first team in Euro history to score 5+ goals in two consecutive matches (including 5-0 vs Slovakia).
*Spain is the first team in Euro history to score a total of 10 goals in two consecutive Euro matches. The previous record was set by Netherlands in 2000 (9 goals total in the games 3-2 vs France and 6-1 vs Yugoslavia).
*The game Croatia – Spain set the new record of Euro finals on the number of different goal-scorers (8).
*Alvaro Morata became Spain's joint-highest goal-scorer in Euro finals (5) along with Fernando Torres.
*Pedri’s own goal in the game vs Croatia became the longest-ever own-goal netted in the European Championships (45 metres) and the first one ever from outside the box.
*The number of own goals scored at Euro 2020 increased to 9: as many as in all of the previous editions of the competition combined!
*Pedri (Spain) became the youngest ever player (18 years 215 days) to start a knockout game in Euro finals. He took over the record from Marcus Rashford (England, 18 years 240 days in 2016 vs Iceland). Before them, the record belonged to Wayne Rooney (18 years 244 days in 2004 vs Portugal).
*France failed to reach the quarter-final stage of a major tournament (Euro and World Cup) for the first time since the 2010 World Cup.
*Switzerland reached the quarterfinal of a major tournament for the first time since 1954 World Cup 1954.
*Haris Seferovic's goal for Switzerland against France was 800th in the history of Euro finals.
*Steven Zuber (Switzerland) has provided his 4th assist at Euro 2020. He became joint record holder in Euro history on assists in a single Euro edition, along with Ljubinko Drulović (Yugoslavia, 2000), Aaron Ramsey (Wales, 2016) and Eden Hazard (Belgium, 2016).
*Karim Benzema (France) became 5th player in Euro history with two braces in a single edition, along with Gerd Müller (1972), Michel Platini (1984, he even made 2 hat-tricks), Wayne Rooney (2004) and Antoine Griezmann (2016).
*Karim Benzema's brace vs Switzerland is the 2nd fastest in Euro history (1 minute 43 seconds), surpassed only by Henrik Larsson's one against Bulgaria in 2004 (1 minute 11 seconds).
