In dramatical competition with Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo has won the contest of best world goal scorer of just passed Decade 2011-2020 (1.1.2011 to 31.12.2020).
Both giants of modern football have fantastic results; the Portuguese eventually overcame his big opponent.
Yet a month before the end, Messi had 3 goal advantage (546 against 543). But Cristiano spurted at finish line with 7 goals scored in December while Lionel managed to make only 3. So, CR finished having just one goal more than the Argentine.
The distance between them two and others is colossal (132 goals) though the placed third Robert Lewandowski still has very solid tally (417).
