The World’s Best Top Goal Scorer 2020: Robert Lewandowski (Poland/FC Bayern München)

Robert Lewandowski led the category during most part of the year and comfortably finished on top with 47 goals scored in total: 32 in Bundesliga, 5 in “DFB-Pokal” (National Cup), 8 in Champions League, 2 for Poland.
Cristiano Ronaldo was productive in December with 7 goals but this wasn’t enough to create tangible competition at the finish line.
Erling Haaland unfortunately missed December due to injury and dropped to 4th place in the ranking letting Romelu Lukaku to finish on third place.
The most productive for Lewandowski was the Bundesliga game against Hertha (4:3, October 4) when he scored 4 goals. Also he made another hat-trick vs Eintracht Frankfurt  (5:0, October 24) and 11 doubles. It is the second IFFHS Award for King 2020 Robert after 2015.
