UEFA Euro 2016 champion coach of Portugal, Fernado Santos had a convincing win as the IFFHS World’s Best National Coach 2016.
Despite tough opposition from experienced coaches, football experts from more 56 countries world wide had no hesitation in awarding Santos a massive 199 points well ahead of Swedish runner-up Lars Lagerbeck on 71 and German’s Joachim Löw taking third place on 62 points, just one point more than Chris Colemen, the other surprise from Wales.

The Portugese Fernando Santos, 62 years old, has been coach of the National Team of Portugal since 2014, after 4 years as headcoach from the National Team of Greece. He began his coach career on 1987 , was at the head of great clubs like Porto, AEK Athenes, Panathinaikos, Sporting Portugal, Benfica, PAOK Saloniki before the experience as National coach of Greece (2010-2014) and Portugal (since 2014). He became a hero in Portugal with the UEFA Euro 2016 win against France in the final.

Lars Lagerbeck coached a fantastic Iceland team to be second in the ranking , Joachim Löw (winner 2014) was third and Chris Coleman took an excellent 4 th place with Wales.
