KYLIAN MBAPPE THE FIRST IN THE XXI CENTURY
Mbappé, the youngest to reach 400 goals in XXI century
Kylian Mbappé scored his 400th career goal at just 26 years 328 days old, becoming the first player this century to reach the milestone before age 27, and one of only four to do so before turning 30 (see the table).
His milestone goal was his second in a World Cup qualifier vs Ukraine (4-0) past night.
*Curiously, Mbappé’s 100th and 300th goals also came with France, against Andorra in June 2019 and Gibraltar in November 2023.
*So far, as we can see, Mbappé is progressing at a bit faster pace than Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. However, he's still far behind Pelé, the all-time record holder. Pelé scored his first 400 goals at 23 years 4 days old, almost four years earlier than Mbappé.
*Mbappé is the 3rd French player in history to reach the 400-goal mark after Karim Benzema (503) and Thierry Henry (411).
*His 400 goals are made up of 27 for Monaco, 246 for PSG, 62 for Real Madrid and 55 for France.
