IFFHS Men’s World Best Goal Scorer 2025 at 31 October: Kylian Mbappé
Mbappé became the first player in the world to reach 50 goals in 2025 (just as he had previously done with 30 and 40). Harry Kane also already reached this milestone.
Two players with 50+ goals at the end of October is something unheard of in this decade. The previous runner-up’s tally at this point of year was only 43.
All three leaders have a good chance of updating their personal best annual marks. Mbappe is only 5 goals away from his record (56), Kane (56 as well) 6 goals, and Haaland (50) has to notch 7 to equal his top performance.
Lionel Messi, after a three-year scoring slump, has returned at the age of 38 to a higher level. For the first time since 2021, he's reached 40+ goals.
