Mbappé equals Inzaghi’s UCL record for away hat-tricks

Kylian Mbappé another bright performance for Real Madrid, in Champions League vs Kairat in Almaty (5-0) past night, generated several his new feats.

*Mbappé has scored his 4th Champions League hat-trick, becoming the 5th player in the competition’s history to do so (Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have 8 hat-tricks, Robert Lewandowski 6 and Karim Benzema also 4).

*Three of Mbappé’s UCL hat-tricks have come in away games; he equalled thus the the Filippo Inzaghi’s record of the competition (detals in the table).

*It was the 5th away hat trick of a Real Madrid player in UCL, following:
Ronaldo vs Manchester United on 23 April 2003, 
Cristiano Ronaldo vs Ajax on 3 October 2012,
Cristiano Ronaldo vs Galatasaray on 17 September 2013, 
Karim Benzema vs Chelsea on 6 April 2022. 

*Mbappé became the 3rd Real Madrid player with multiple Champions League hat-tricks (2) in UCL, after Cristiano Ronaldo (7) and Karim Benzema (4).

*Mbappé started this UCL campaign with 5 goals in 2 games (2 vs Marseille and 3 vs Kairat). 
Only Lionel Messi in 2016-17 has scored more in his 2 first games (3 vs Celtic and 3 vs Manchester City).

*Mbappé is the first player to score each of Real Madrid's first 5 goals in a single Champions League campaign (no club’s player before has scored even each of first 3 goals).
