Guardiola set CL record for games vs same rival
Being early eliminated in the last season’s Champions League with Manchester City, Pep Guardiola nevertheless set a new tournament record.
Having faced Real Madrid in the playoff round, Guardiola brought the number of his matches as a coach against „Los Blancos” to 14. He opposed Real Madrid twice with Barcelona and 12 times with Man City.
No coach has played so many matches against the same opponent in the history of the Champions League.
