IFFHS WOMEN’S WORLD BEST NATIONAL TOP DIVISION GOALSCORER 2024
CHARLYN CORRAL MADE IT AGAIN !
Third in 2022, winner in 2023, Mexican Charlyn Veronica Corral did it again in 2024, scoring 8 goals more than last year (42 in 2024) and won sovereign the IFFHS Award of WOMEN’S WORLD BEST NATIONAL TOP DIVISION GOALSCORER for a second consecutive year ! Corral jumped to the leadership very quickly at the beginning of the year and was never in danger, winning with 17 goals more than the second in the ranking, the other Mexican striker, Lizbeth Ovalle (25 goals with Tigres), who will join FC Barcelona or Real Madrid in the next days ! Stephanie Ribeiro and Chinwendu Ihuezo, teammate of Corral in Pachuca and first African goalscorer before Banda and the sisters Chawinga, complete Mexico’s MX League Triumph ! All continents (UEFA 25, CONCACAF 11, CAF 5, AFC 4, CONMEBOL 3) are represented in the Top 48.
