The new holders are Marc Pujol (Andorra) in UEFA and Paolo Guerrero (Peru) in CONMEBOL.
In this post, we name all holders of this record specially for each of 6 confederations. Now 5 of them have player(s) who managed to score for a national team at the age of 42+; only CONMEBOL still wait for someone able to do it.
Notably, two players from the list below hold the similar record (as the oldest scorers) in their confederations also for international club competitions’ category: Aleksandar Đurić (AFC) and Kilifi Uele (OFC).
