ROQUE SANTA CRUZ - THE RECORD

Roque Santa Cruz: oldest scorer in CONMEBOL club competitions

The evergreen Roque Santa Cruz set in 2024 the new age record. His goal for Libertad in the Copa Sudamericana quarter-final vs Cruzeiro (1-1) on 27 September became the oldest ever in all CONMEBOL club competitions (scored at 43 years 41 days).
The Paraguayan eclipsed the feat of Richard Pellejero (Uruguay) who netted for Cerro in 2019 in the same competition at 43 years 31 days.
In the table, we list the oldest goal-scorers in major club competitions for each confederation.
In every case, a record holder represented the club of his country.
