IFFHS WOMEN’S WORLD BEST YOUTH (U20) PLAYER 2024 – VICKY LOPEZ
Ranked 5 in 2022 and 6 in 2023, Vicky Lopez (born in 2006) has now won the IFFHS Award of Women’s World Best Youth Player in 2024 ! She succeeded her teammate and friend of FC Barcelona and Spain’s national team, Salma Paralluelo, honored in 2023.
Winner of 4 titles with FC Barcelona and one title with the national team of Spain in 2024, Vicky Lopez won the Award with only 11 points more than Colombian star Linda Caicedo (born in 2005), already winner of the IFFHS Award in 2022, second in 2023 and 2024 ! It was very close between the two rising stars of the World football, who will again be in the ranking next year ! North Korean striker Choe II-Son, best player of the U20 World Cup 2024, took place 3 in the annual ranking, showing the progress of Asian ‘s women football.
