IFFHS AWARDS 2024 – WOMEN’S WORLD BEST PLAYER - AITANA BONMATI
After Alexia Putellas (2021 and 2022), Aitana Bonmati became the second woman player to win the IFFHS WORLD’S BEST PLAYER Award for a second time ! Winner in 2023, Bonmati won also in 2024, winning all competitions with FC Barcelona (UEFA Champions League, La Liga, Copa de la Reina, Supercopa) and with Spain (UEFA Nations League) as playmaker and as goalscorer (23 goals). She was so naturally crowned by IFFHS for the Award 2024 with a huge lead (232 points) before her two teammates of FC Barcelona, Salma Paraluello (53 points), already second in 2023 and IFFHS World’s Best Youth player 2023, and Caroline Graham Hansen (39 points), Norway’s striker, efficient like never before with 36 goals in 2024 !
3 African players (Barbra Banda, Tabitha and Temwa Chawinga) took place in the World’s Top 10 for the first time in the Football History !
3 continents are represented in the Top 10 !
