Yann Sommer enters UCL ranking for goalkeepers
On the last match-day of 2024 (10 December), Inter became the last of the 36 Champions League teams to concede a goal (vs Bayer Leverkusen, 0-1).
“Nerazzurri” kept their goal unbeaten for 573 minutes. All this time, the goal was defended by Yann Sommer, who entered thus the top 10 goalkeepers achieving the longest streaks without conceding a goal in the history of the tournament.
The Champions League record belongs to Jens Lehmann, who avoided conceding goals for Arsenal for 853 minutes between February 2005 and September 2006.
