Brentford’s unique run in EPL
The last English Premier League round saw Brentford stop their unique series. The club made a history, becoming the first ever team in EPL to score in the opening minute of 3 games in a row.
This incredible run came to an end on 5 October in the game vs Wolverhampton (5-3) when “The Bees” were a bit “late” to find the net. They took slightly more than a minute (75 seconds, scorer: Nathan Collins) to do it. (PICTURE).
Previously, Manchester City were the only team to have scored in the first minute in consecutive matches (twice), both times by Sergio Agüero strikes.
His personal feat was repeated now by the Brentford’s Cameroonian Bryan Mbeumo who also netted in the opening minute in 2 successive games (see the statistics below).
