ERLING HAALAND POWER 100

Haaland: 100 goals for Man City!

The goal scored by Erling Haaland for Manchester City vs Arcenal (2-2) in the last Premier League round became his 100th in all competitions with the club.
Here is some statistics regarding the Haaland’s feat.

*Since his debut for Manchester City in August 2022, he scored nearly 2.5 times more goals than any of his team-mates (the next is Phil Foden with 42) and almost twice more any Premiership player (the next is Mohamed Salah: 58 goals in 100 games for Liverpool).

*His 100 goals have come at the rate of one per 80 minutes.

*He has scored a goal for every 24 touches he has made. To compare with his main rivals for goals at one club: Ollie Watkins needs average 57 touches per goal in Aston Villa and Mohamed Salah 75 touches.

*His longest scoring run is 10 games (7 in EPL and 3 in Champions League) between 21 August and 8 October 2022.

*His longest run without scoring: 6 games, from May to August 2023 (vs Real Madrid, Chelsea, Brighton, Manchester United, Inter, Arsenal).

*He made 11 hat-tricks (8 times – 3 goals, once – 4 goals, twice – 5 goals).

*His favorite victims: Wolverhampton 8, West Ham 7, Manchester United 6, Luton 6, RB Leipzig 6.

*His favorite month: August, 19 goals; September and October are next ith 13 goals each.

*Only two of Haaland’s 100 goals left the Guardiola side still trailing in that match — in a 3-3 draw away to Newcastle and a 3-2 home win over RB Leipzig; and only 4 others have been equalisers. His other 93 goals have all left his team ahead (or further ahead).

*Goals breakdown by tournament: Premier League 73, FA Cup 8, League Cup 1, Champions League 18.

*Kevin De Bruyne made much more assists for him (20) than others; next are Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden and Rodri (6 each).*

*The late Stones' equaliser for Man City vs Arsenal broke an impressive Haaland’s streak: he was author of 8 consecutive club’s goals in EPL, longest such streak in his Man City career (in 2022, he scored once 6 consecutive league goals of the club).

*Having scored 10 goals in 5 first rounds of the current EPL campaign, Haaland broke the record that he already jointly shared with Mick Quinn
for the fewest games needed in a single Premier League season to score double-digit amount.
Quinn managed to score 10 for Coventry in the very first season of Premier League, 1992–93, for 6 games, as many as Haaland spent at his EPL debut in 2022-23.
All other players needed for this at least 9 starting games.

*Previously, Haaland updated also the record for the most goals ever scored in the opening 4 games of a PL season (9), surpassing Wayne Rooney’s 8 goals for Man United after 4 first games in 2011-12.
Moreover, the “Cyborg” became the first player to start with 9 goals in 4 rounds in any league of European top 5 since 1974-75 when Carlos Bianchi achieved this with Reims in Ligue 1.
