THE DYNASTY SCHMEICHEL
Schmeichel father & son: first dynasty with 50+ clean sheets for NT
Without conceding a goal in two Nations League matches for Denmark in September, Kasper Schmeichel reached the mark of 50 clean sheets for his national team.
This achievement is also notable because it created the first goalkeeper dynasty in history, in which two members amassed 50+ such matches each.
Kasper's father, Peter Schmeichel, has 56 clean sheets for Denmark.
The ranking that we now publish contains all the goalkeepers who managed to reach the milestone of 50.
Notably, Kasper Schmeichel is the only one of them who was called up for the September matches. All other active goalkeepers from the ranking (they are highlighted in bold) either announced their definite retirement from the national team or were not included in the list of invited players.
