Nagelsmann: Euro’s youngest coach makes history
Julian Nagelsmann made a mark at this edition of the Euro by becoming the youngest coach in the history of the tournament.
On the opening day of the match against Scotland (5-1), June 14, his age was 36 years 327 days. He surpassed the previous record holder, Slovenian Katanec, by only 6 days.
Nagelsmann is also famous as the youngest coach in the history of Bundesliga where he started his career at the age of 28 years in 2016.
It was the just the year in which Germany reached the quarter-final of a major tournament (Euro) for the last time before their unprecedented horrible period when they failed to enter the top-8 at three tournaments in a row (World Cups 2018, 2022, Euro 2020).
Now Nagelsmann became just the man that has broken this curse.
