ALL POKERS AGAINST REAL

All pokers against Real Madrid

The Villarreal striker Alexander Sørloth (picture) scored 4 goals against Real Madrid (4-4) in the penultimate matchday of the Spanish League on 19 May.
This is the second season (and also the second calendar year) in a row that “Los Blancos” have conceded a poker from one of their opponents.
In the previous La Liga season, Girona's Taty Castellanos achieved this feat.
Throughout their history, Real Madrid allowed a player from the opposion side to score 4+ goals in one match 11 times (including this one), but never before has this happened as often as in two consecutive seasons.
Moreover, before the mentioned to recent cases, the last “anti-Madrid” poker was last seen as long ago as in 1947; it was actually even a penta-trick (the only one for all time), made by Esteban Echevarría (Oviedo).
It should be noted that regarding Carlos Bestit in 1929 (poker 2 in chronoligal order), though he is also listed in the table, the various sources report different versions of his goals’ number in the game vs Real Madrid (5-2), 3 and 4. Some of sources credited the 5th goal of Europa (in 80th minute) to Bestit’s attacking team-mate Manuel Cros.
