Samuel Eto'o leads the ranking of best African goal-scorers in XXI century after the end of 2023.
Eto'o is so far the only representative of the CAF countries to reach 400 top-level goals in this century. He scored 410 goals (he added 13 more in XX century).
Five players besides him have reached the 300-goal mark, with three of them doing so just in 2023 (Mohamed Salah, Abderrazak Hamdallah, Baghdad Bounedjah).
