-       Ana Capeta’s shot in the 90’+1 minute smashed against the US pole ; for two centimeters, Portugal was near to realize the greatest exploit in Women’s football World Cup History !

-       Defending champions USA drew a very poor 0-0 with tournament debutant Portugal, who was the best team team on the field.

-       The result means USA will have to settle for second place in the Group and face Sweden in the 1/8 final !

-       Despite an impressive display against USA, Portugal suffered a heartbreaking elimination.
