A NEW RECORD FOR ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC

Ibrahimović: oldest ever goal-scorer in Serie A

Another record from Zlatan Ibrahimović in Serie A: couple of weeks after becoming the oldest outfield player in the league history, he scored its oldest goal.
“Ibra” was 41 years 166 days old on 18 March, when he converted a penalty in the game vs Udinese (1-3) at his first start for Milan after a long injury break.
The Swedish striker surpassed Alessandro Costacurta, who netted (also from spot kick) in his very last league game for Milan, at 41 years 25 days.
In the history of Serie A, 4 players have scored at the age of 40+ and 12 at the age of 39+ (they are listed in the table).
Curiously, 11 out of these 12 old-timers scored their last goals in a game where their team failed to win. The only exception is Fabio Quagliarella, but he has yet a chance to “erase” this exception being active player of Sampdoria.
