Statistics on European competitions’ games of March 16
*Italy has the most representatives (6) in this season's quarter-finals in three European competitions combined.
The other countries which keep their clubs: England 4, Belgium 3, Germany 2, Spain 2, Portugal 2, Netherlands 2, France 1, Switzerland 1, Poland 1.
*This is one of just 4 cases in XXI century when a country is represented by at least 6 teams in the quarter-final stage in European competitions this century. England in the season of 2018-19 and Spain in 2015-16 also had 6. The record was set by Spain in 2000-01 (7 clubs).
*Belgium will be represented by 3+ teams in the European quarter-finals for the first time since 1989-90 when they had as many as 4.
*West Ham have won 10 out of 10 their games in Conference League this season (2 qualifiers, 6 group games and 2 in round of 16 vs AEK Larnaka).
*This is the longest active winning streak in European competitions, followed by Bayern in Champions League (8) and Fiorentina in Conference League (8).
*Fiorentina became the 3rd Italian team to win 8+ matches in a row in Europe, after Milan (10 games in 1992-93) and Juventus (8 in 1984-1985).
*Poland managed to delegate a club in the quarter-finals of a European competition (Lech Poznan, Conference League) for the first time since 1995-96 (Legia Warszawa, Champions League).
*Feyenoord, beating Shakhtar Donetsk 7-1, became only the 2nd team to score 7+ goals in a Europa League match, after Lyon who crashed AZ in February 2017 with the same score.
*Marcus Rashford, with scoring (vs Betis in Europa League) his 16th goal in all competitions for Manchester United this year, continues to lead the IFFHS 2023 world ranking for goal-scorers, followed by Victor Osimhen, who has now 13 after a brace for Napoli vs Eintracht in Champions League.
*25-year old Rashford became the youngest player in Manchester United history to score 25 goals in European competitions (12 in Champions League, 13 in Europa League).
