Today, the World of Football mourns Gianluca Vialli, who has passed away aged 58 after a long battle with cancer.

Gianluca lifted the UEFA Champions League with Juventus in 1996 after the UEFA Cup 1992, won 59 international caps for Italy and was a hugely popular member of the Italian Staff as the Azzuri triumphed at EURO 2000. He was player in Cremonese, Sampdoria, Juventus and Chelsea before coaching Chelsea and Watford. He was also successful in Chelsea where he won the European Cup of Cup winners 1998 as player and the UEFA Super Cup in 1998 as Manager ! Before three weeks, he stopped his job as coach for Italy .
